I don't really see this as much news at all...the amount was a joke too...it is like us getting fined 50 cents.

My question is...
Even though most of these cases/news stories really have to do with Sports Betting, why does the media always seem to want to TWIST it to POKER somehow?
Take for example the picture in the headline of this article by ABC news...

They seemed to be generalizing to me, as though the authors weren't themselves sure whether it was just sprotsbetting or if it went further. I read a couple that actually said "online gambling is illegal" but it wasn't followed up anywhere with the how or why.
ABC did seem to be the ones to do the least research, targeting poker.. especially in their image.

Not surprised, our mainstream media is a joke.
I get my news from the BBC & PBS, plus the DailyShow & Colbert

The media seems to group sports betting, poker, casinos all into the "internet gambling" umbrella, which is fair I suppose. It creates a better headline which helps to grab more readers.
I am assuming these fines had to do more with Sports Betting advertising more than anything else, but again that's just my assumption.

The only mention made in any quote was from Catherine Han..a..whatever her name is.. and she said something to the effect of illegal sportsbetting and other illegal gambling..
We have a message into her office asking her to clarify.
