Default ASOP Freeroll Dates (CAP Euro)

Hi All,

Hope everything is good and you have been practicing your poker, because it is almost time for the ASOP Freerolls for CAP Euro in London.

First things first:

1. This part of the ASOP is only for affiliates - If you are not an affiliate there is no point playing because you will not be allowed to play at the main event. Sorry!
2. Only play if you intend to be at CAP Euro in London (www.capeuro.com ) because that is where the ASOP event is and you obviously need to be there to play
3. Make sure you have also registered to attend CAP Euro - This is different from the ASOP registration and must be done at http://www.capeuro.com/registration/

Right now the fun bit!

If you are new to the ASOP here is how it works -

Stage 1 -
Over the next 5 weeks we will be running a series of freeroll poker tournaments at our sponsor sites - 8 in total. In each of these there will be a certain amount of seats available to win for the main event taking place at CAP Euro: London. Details of these freerolls are below. Just to confirm these are completely free to enter.

Stage 2 -
If you are lucky enough to qualify for the tournament you will have made it to the final 36 players that will fight it out in London on the first day of the conference down to 6 people who will then play the final table on the second day of CAP Euro

The prizes for the final six are as follows:

1st Place - $5,000 plus official ASOP new and improved bracelet
2nd Place - $2,500
3rd Place - $1,000

4th Place - $750
5th Place - $500
6th Place - $250

All 6 final table winners will receive $2,000 towards their flights and accommodation to the next CAP event (hint: CAP Spring Break - Cruise in the Med)

The tournament schedule and passwords

The tournaments are at 2 different poker rooms - I currently only have the confirmed schedule for Everest Poker so have listed that one below - I will have details for the Affiliateclub.com qualifiers early next week. Below are the Everest Poker details

Qualifying Tournaments at Everest Poker:

1. All tournaments will take place on www.everestpoker.net - so US affiliates can play as well - Download the poker software from here. www.everestpoker.net
2. Register as a player.
3. Register for the tournament - All tournaments are open for registration 24 hours before the tournament start time. Passwords are below:

Tournament #1
Official Tournament Name: “ASOP Freeroll”
Start Date: December 12th, 2007
Start Time: 19:00 GMT
Top 4 Qualify for a seat in CAP Euro London

Alex

Why do they always do these things during the day during the week? If Alex is reading this can you please at least have half of the tourneys on the weekend, or something at night for players from North America.

When I met with Warren and Greg in Cali last week, I also mentioned the following idea.

What if, in addition to freerolls, you made it so you can buy-in to the event. Make it like a $150 buy-in or soemthing..... then just roll the buy-ins into the prize pool.

The problem with the freerolls is that many people either don't have time or simply can't play in the freerolls. Yet, if they could just buy in, they certainly would. And for some people, it would probably be a deciding factor to attend the event.

After all, anyone traveling internationally to one of these events probably has the means to pay a $150 buy-in if they really want to play.

The good news is that the people at CAP want to do what is in the best interest of everyone involved. I personally think the ASOP is going to continue evolving into something very cool.

I would probably buy-in, because I am always working when the freerolls are played

Hi Guys -

We actually did weekend ones the first time around but loads of webmasters said they wanted that time with the family - What I propose is I see if there is still time to set up a couple more in January on a weekend that are at more N. American friendly times on a w/end and we make the tables 7 handed - We haven't started the event yet so I can do this if that is what people want.

With buying in - We can't do that due to legal reasons - It takes us over 3 months and heaps of lawyer fees to even get permission for this event and it would definately not be worth risking the closing of the whole of CAP Euro for that - We may be able to do this in other countries where we hold CAP Euro which I will check. Oh also on that note, Jeremy sorry if this sound silly, any chance you could delete the passwords from the post above as we have to ensure no "public" are able to enter this event to get permission plus I don't want a bunch of idiots playing that have nothing to do with being affiliates - Anyone approved that registers on ASOP.com will get the passwords anyway.

Finally - Everest and Romania - I think you may be able to get round this with proxy server thing - I am zero technical but remember previous people talking about tor??? Try it, I know most people managed to play last time particulary because it was on .NET and was a free roll. The other tourneys will be on the Boss network with affiliateclub.com's new room but I am waiting for their rules for who can play freerolls and the confirmed dates and times

Sorry Alex, deleted passwords. Didn't even see them there when I copy/pasted. Thanks for the heads up on buying in as well. That makes sense.
