I am also interested in finding out how much it would be to customize a blog to "almost match" my site. I just installed Wordpress onto my site.

Hey Bryan,

On the gambling BLOG theme package ($99), can you change colors and logos and things? Just wondering as I may be interested.

Thanks.

Bryan · #5 11-30-2007, 01:03 AM

Yep. Sure can. You can alter anything and fairly easily too. Any questions on it and I'd be more than happy to help if you need to make some small changes.

As for you Wordpress dilemma... Wordpress on your own site is completely different than Wordpress on wordpress.com. As others have already stated... they have ZERO to do with what you do on your own site.

Let me know if you need anything after you download it.

Thanks,

Bryan

Hey Bryan,

Sorry for so many "amateur" questions...but I am very new to this.

The Blog package you guys have - is that what I would be looking at if I just want a "solid" wordpress blog as a page in my website?

I just installed WORDPRESS on my website and it links to the wordpress blog through a link on my site called POKER BLOG.

So, would this be what I do in order to use YOUR blog package thing?

Thanks,
CHRIS

Yep. That would work just fine. Since you just need to run a blog there's no reason to purchase the full website edition so the "Blog Package" would work great.

Now, I have decent Frontpage knowledge, that is what I use on my sites.

Having basic html knowledge, would I have no problem using this blog package theme? I would want to be able to add some banners, etc.., my own logo, customize colors and some of the sections.

The site I would be adding it to is xwww.bigfishpokerclub.com

Could you take a look and let me know if it would be something that would be suitable.

ALSO - Do I just create my Wordpress set up through CPanel Fantastico and then login and add your template there?

Thanks!

If you have basic html knowledge you'll be just fine. Changing the logo, colors etc... is really easy since all you have to do is find the current one and simply change it. Same goes for banners.

It looks like you already have wordpress installed as I just clicked on your poker blog link in your nav bar. All you have to do is simply upload the new theme to your wp-content/themes folder. Then activate it within the wordpress admin area. Then to make changes to the theme simply click on Presentation from the WP admin area and then Theme Editor and make your changes there.

I'd also suggest using some of the WP plugins I've compiled. Here is the link...

Bryan would you be able to post or pm some links to people who have sites using these templates? I would just like to see some of the customization variations that are possible.

Thanks!
