Have your search engine guy on board....

before you build your site. AlwaysBluff was my first retail site and I have to say I am learning a ton but the most valuable thing I have learned is that your search engine guy should be directing your web designers. Web designers are funny type people, they are invested in that design and when they are asked to change (even though you pay them) they balk.

I would have likely saved enough money to pay for SEO if I had the SEO guy on board first.

Just thought that might be good info.
