What's all this about - odd things afoot

I decided to do a search on one of my bonus codes tonight and found tons of links mentioning it which had nothing to do with me. After a spot of investigating it boils down to one guy whose got numerous domains all leading to one site:-

http://www.make-money-review.net/poker/

but if you take a look at the google cached version of one of the redirected domains

(www.abcfulltiltpoker.info/full-tilt-poker-bonus-code)

you find this page:-

http://www.google.com/search?q=cachel76q82dnVsJ:http://www.abcfulltiltpoker.info/ful...nk&cd=92&gl=uk

which clearly contains the text from alot of different sites including a few of us here.

What's going on? - I've not come across this before? I'm in the process of sending an email to the poker sites he's affiliated with - but I don't really understand what the benefit of all this is to him.

Intentional spam sites are created with legitimate aff content to discredit legitimate sites in "google's eyes" when its robots come searching. Maybe that's what is going on here?

Yeah - just looks like a cheesy spammer trying to pick up all the spelling mistakes for Full Tilt (and a couple of other sites). He's taken text from the top ten results for a few search phrases. Well, at least if he does effect the SERP's for the sites he's stolen from, it'll be all the big sites at once, which prob won't make that much difference. Can't imagine google would ever demote FTR just on the basis of the crap he's pumping out.

What annoys me though is with all the effort he's put into this project he could build a great site and compete legitimately. Plonker.

Anyhow, onwards and upwards, not gonna waste any more thinking time on this - this may be the first time this has happened to me (that I've noticed), but I'm sure it won't be the last.
