Yeah.
That said, it is very easy to be 90%+ grammatically correct, even for mere mortals :P, and I think obvious mistakes do detract from the credibility of the author.
Sklansky has a horrible writing style, but it follows the rules of English, and is useful.
For example:

The advice can be justified, but its grammar (and typo) can't.
No matter how good your content, there comes a point where it is hamstrung by poor copy-editing.
Write your content in MS Word (or any other word processor with a spelling and grammar checker). Use the checker and pay attention to what it says.
Style is something that comes with practise (and a bit of natural ability), grammar and spelling can be faked.
If you're really a boring writer, it is well worth finding someone who is willing to go over it with you. Your local university has a lot of fairly talented non-fiction writers. They're called A students - anyone who scores highly on essays in history, politics, and that sort of department almost certainly has a good writing style.
Or just outsource the writing to the college students, the ones who aren't making 100K a year playing online poker

are usually pretty good at turning a bit of reading into the ability to pretend they have knowledge on a subject and very glad to get paid for writing. Outsourcing content frees you up to do what you're good at.
