Default How effective is Carbon Poker for you

I have been pondering something with these skins that Poker.com has added to their network. Since the release of them how has Carbon/Poker.com whatever you want to call them working for you? I am recieving hits and signups but deposits have been few which doesn't really make all that much sense to me.

My personal feelings is they made a huge mistake opening it up like this, especially when other affiliates promote the new skin on top of the exsisting skins and start asking players to download because of bonuses, new intoductory freerolls and all that other crap.

I think what is happening and maybe I am wrong is they are not gaining the players they need to grow but instead shuffling teh exsisting ones around the network.

I have heard from Ellen and them that all Poker.com players who sign up with Carbon are tracked to the original affiliate, but is this the case with Carbon players moving on to Poker Nordica or any other skins?

I would love to hear others opinons and how it's going for them.

Thanks

It's doing crap for me, clicks aren't converting let alone signup's -> deposit's. Will leave it another few weeks then consider changing for FTP or something.

That was my thoughts to. So far this month I have had 88 clicks 5 sign ups no deposits. I am starting to get really frustrated with it and wondering if I should be putting as much energy and focus into that site

Their average player volume is in the hundreds compared to PokerStars in the 10-15k range. That probably explains the weaker than normal deposits.

I'm still not buying the reason they switched. If you type in Carbonpoker.net it just redirects to Carbonpoker.com.

Well if it was for the purpose of advertising than why not advertise? Why make such a decsion when you have no such plans in place.

Hi Kaus / All,

In response to the questions we have received regarding other sites using the Merge Gaming software, I thought I would make a post to clear things up a bit.

We (the Merge Gaming Network) have licenced our software to a number of external poker rooms for their own commercial use, much as numerous other poker software companies do.

The current live licensee's are PDC (CarbonPoker.com), IronDuke.com and PokerNordica.com, with a number of others due shortly. Each licensee is responsible for operating their own affiliate program and recruiting and managing their affiliates .

A player who has been referred by an affiliate under one skin is free to be referred by a different affiliate under a different skin.

I hope this clears up some of the confusion.

Cheers,

Dean We Were told that any of our poker.com players that switched over to carbon poker would be tracked to us , thru some internal tracking system you had . Now it seems your saying this is not the case ?

Can you answer this to clear it up , if one of my poker.com players clicks a different affiliates banner and signs up a new account on carbon poker will they still be tracked to me ?

This is the direct quote from Ellen About this . Seems you two are giving 2 completly opposite answers on this .

CarbonPoker is simply another brand in our network for you to promote, and as I have mentioned before; when an existing player signs up with Carbon Poker, we will track them via their unique player fingerprint and will assign their existing affiliate tracking code to the new player. All game play generated by this new player will then be attributed to the correct affiliate, and will just appear under their statistics as per normal.

You know what I just spent the last 20 min writing a post to I guess debate this and the fact that there are not players at this site but in my honest opinon as of right now

..................it's not worth it anymore!

Finally a true honest answer that is not written in circles

If a player signs up for you 27 with Carbon or Poker.com from what Ellen has said yes they will be BUT if the player signs up with you and than sees so and so offering the other site Poker Nordica and plays there than no they move on. This is what I got from Ellen
