Default CSS background image question

I am using frontpage and found a broekn link in my css fill
The css file points to the background image as such...
}
body {
background-image: url('../images/bg-img1.jpg');

BUT the background image in not in the image folder, when i migrated the template to FP it saved all the image files within the "web".
I need to redirect the css to the same image, but out of the file...does that make sense?
I tried just changing it to this...
}
body {
background-image: url('../bg-img1.jpg');

But nothing changed, the background remains white) ( i didnt save it first
I dont want to save anything to test it, because i dont want to bung anything up..

Am i missing something in the syntax?

I know nothing about FP, this is one of many reasons why

"It" begins wherever that html file with the image tag is.

Try an absolute path, ie. http://yoursite.com/web/bg-img1.jpg

Where its a global background, an absolute path is fine & will avoid any path issues.

cheers
