Default Sun Poker added - $200 CPA

Hello, fellow affiliates!

Today I have added the new deal - Sun Poker.

You can get $200 for every player who makes first deposit and plays 500 raked hands. Unfortunately Sun Poker does not accept US players.

Just go to your PAW affiliate account and request a tracker.

If you do not have an account in our PAW affiliate system, please go to http://affiliates.pokeraffiliateworld.com/ and register. Then start earning some serious cash!

By saying "You can get $200" Do you mean we will get $200 for every player that completes requirements? Or is this an "Up to $200"?

Its $200 for every player that meets requirements.

Also as stated in the email that went out, Stats are only updated at the end of each month...Major bummer.

Love the CPA though.

We have asked SunPoker to see if we can get that changed. I don't believe this is a PAW thing, instead it is just by default on the Sun back end.

Nonetheless we'll work on that. This is a GREAT CPA and a great room to promote! With their new "One Sick Promo" promotion, conversions should be very good for your non u.s. traffic.

If you have a majority of U.S. traffic, think outside the box and don't worry about promoting on "your site". With a $200 CPA, you can probably get good ROI by investing in some foreign media buys or PPC. just a thought

Also with a CPA this high we will probably get a few inexperienced affiliates trying to roll us by sending all their buddies to play the minimum hands and cash out. We will be watching for this to ensure this deal stay around for all you guys who are out there working ethically.

Some of you had some questions about MPPs. Mark from focalclick explained them to us:

Raked hands = MPPs (my poker points)

Rake from 0 to 24 = 0 MPP
Rake from .25 to 0.99 = .25 MPP
Rake from $1 to $3 = 1 MPP
Tournament Fee’s $/£/€ 1 = 3 MPPs

Rake is divided equally among the members at the table that are dealt cards.

Default 500 raked hands or 500 MPPs

The Original Announcement said 500 raked hands.
So, does that mean any hand above a rake of 25 cents, or does that mean 500 MPPs, which means 500 hands raked more than $1?

It would be nice to have a specific definition of the CPA rule: is it based upon MPP definitions?

Hands below 25 cents are "raked" but they do not count towards MPP points....they get zero credit.

Do they count towards the CPA requirement?

My impression from reading others' experiences suggests that ambiguity comes back to haunt you sooner or later.

As Marius said, MPP = Raked hand.

So they need to earn 500 MPP.

500 MMP lol Thats like $500 - $1500 in rake. Wait were only getting paid $200 CPA? I rather have 40% Revenue Share at that rate.

How about at 200MMP we get $200 CPA and anything extra SunPoker can keep as they would now have a new player at their site.

I fail to the see power of negotiation in this deal.

500 MPP = 50$ - 150$ in rake on a full table. So if a player earn 500 MPP, and you get 40%, you will have 20$ - 60$. A 200 CPA deal seems good to me.

By the way, Mpp = rake paid by the table. Not the contribuated rake.

Default Uhhmm, No, Marius didn't say it like that....

Marius provided a table for converting the dollar value of raked hands into MPPs, he did not state that ONE MPP is equivalent to ONE RAKED HAND.

And, nowhere does the message state that the definition of "one raked hand" is the same as the definition of "one MPP."

He did state that "the rake" is divided among people who are dealt cards, and the table does list a "rake" of 25 cents as earning .25 MPPs.

So, if a hand in which the "rake" is over 25 cents earned part of an MPP, then why would that *not* be considered a "raked" hand?

Under that amount (25 cents), you do *not* get any credit whatsoever, therefore a hand under that amount is not considered to be a raked hand for bonus purposes. It is pretty standard that you have to play at a certain level to work off your bonuses, and that the rake has to be over a certain level...or you just do not get the credit. Can't argue with that concept.

The question remains: what is the official definition of a "raked hand"?

The use of "MPPs" is just a way of disguising the large number of hands some people will have to play to earn bonuses...by making the numbers seem smaller (Or, less cynically, you could say it is a way of giving the small fish some credit for their action).

People playing in $5 pots will have to play over 2,000 hands for you to collect your CPA - if it is 500 MPPs - so maybe you need to take that into consideration when referring people to the site.....and concentrate on players who will mostly play at $20 pot levels and above. Otherwise it may be months before your players earn enough to get you your CPA.

If you do not take that into account, you will be perceived as not sending "quality players."

I agree that the CPA of $200 is a nice commission - I just want to know *for sure* when I will be considered to have earned it....with no room for misunderstanding.

Otherwise, it is no different from MGR...you cannot expect a large immediate return on your investment, and will just have to wait/HOPE for referrals to hit the necessary numbers.

Joyeus Noel et Bonne Anee, Sebasdess, et tout le monde.
