Fraud sign ups.......

Could i assume that if i get two applications from a similar IP address e.g 216.252.111.119 and 216.252.110.56 that both these applications are from the same pc???????????
I usually class them as fraud if the first two parts of the IP is the same!
Am i right to do this?
Also i think Partypoker could make our job easier if it wasn't so easy to create a fake account in the first place
Any advice would be appreciated as i just started and am finding my feet,thought i was getting rich until Party deducted half my profits because of fake accounts
I just have a simple site but maybe i should get some security measures in place but don't know where to start

But then again, I dont know much about IP addresses. I think that just because IPs have similarities, doesnt have to mean its fraud. Of course, I could be wrong.

Well the TOS usually states one account per household. If its from the same PC it can be assumed its the same household. If not & someone was just registering from your home or whatever. Im sure you can contact them & clarify the mix-up, assumung you know who it is

Yeah i totally agree they shouldn't make it so easy to create multiple accounts in the first place!
I check IP ADDRESSES and i ask for ID but also with this you get alot of fake ID'S.
An actual picture is better than a scanned one as scanned ones can be altered.
I'm just starting off small at the moment and have limited monthly funds but don't know really where to get the technolgy for phone verification.
I also had a problem with quite a few players blowing the free $50 before they reached 5 Points and didn't get paid.......but now with the new CPA in place is not so bad if some don't reach the points as the profits still mainly good.
