It depends on how and where you distribute them.

If you hand them out randomly then it's a bit of a waste of time.

I would suggest finding the places where poker players will be and do it there.

Get someone to hand them out who is talkative, apporachable and friendly.

Pubs usually have poker players in and is a lot better than just putting through any door.

A flier with a bit of talk to the person receiving it about the site or whatever you are promoting will gain a lot more interest

They do work and did work GREAT for me a few years ago......but when I did a ton of offline marketing, online poker was still a huge buzz and probably when many of us signed up for our "first" online poker accounts.

So keep this in mind, most serious poker player are not going to be influenced by a flyer or offline sales piece. You can still bring in new players with these but I remember when I was doing offline hardcore, poker was no where near as commercialized as it is now.

With all that said, offline marketing does have it's place but probably wont be a main source of income if you're just starting out.

It totally depends on the content. If you can write good content flyers will work.

Hi, I am thinking about trying some flyers myself in the next few weeks.

What do you think would be a lowball conversion rate, 1%?

If targeted, it works. If you explain the deal to someone, then they work.

You can put a flyer on every car in every casino in las vegas and you WILL NOT get more then 2-3 deposits a night. I am serious.

Someone on here mentioned a good looking girl with flyers. Even then it is a waste if she doesnt know what she is talkng about.

How do you know this? Have you actually tried this method in Las Vegas? And as far as explaining the deal, the flyer should do that (at least a good one).
