I am really interested and eager to start a poker website that will promote the various affiliates I will be working with. I am not too concerned about the web design aspect. I am concerned more with the content. What is the best way to go about gathering the best content for the site; poker room reviews, articles, video, etc. Thanks again for your suggestions...

Try to write one article every 2 days or even every day if you can. After one year you will have over 150 articles and will get traffic from lots of dirrefent keywords.. Try to keep your site dynamic.

Yeah, the best way is to write content yourself. If you have trouble writing well, read up on some article writing tips and start practicing writing articles. If you have trouble writing strategy, read up on some books and play poker until you feel you have a good enough understanding of the game. If you want to write room reviews, just download the client, play at the room for a while and write your opinions on your experience at the room.

Writing your own articles is the cheapest and easiest way to getting your own content. Plus you will be learning a new skill and you will have total control over the way you communicate to your visitors.

I don't know if its quite that simple. especially if you think about how many more sites will exist in the time frame of one year. Possibly wrong though.

for example, rgtonline releases gaming news everyday, like 5 or 6 articles directly poker related. I can never find there stuff in the search engines. Only when Searching poker news in google or yahoo news.

Sites like ezinearticles are great for getting poker articles. If you can't give credit to the author, don't just steal the content, use it as a jumping off point and put it into your own words.
