I am sure some of you have read what happened in the Sunday Party Tourny. Short version is a guy supposedly took over for his grandmother after being knocked out and ended up taking first for a cool 140K

The guy has been getting flamed by 2+2 and Pocket5's

Just wondered, how many of you think you have players with duplicate accounts? Is this ending up costing us money if it is the norm for the bigger players?

I would think those that have more than one account are not signing up through an affiliate the second time (unless it's a rakeback situation). The rooms really have no reason to be pissed, other than it being unethical, because they are getting the entry fee twice. Seems to me after reading all the posts and such that PokerStars is the only one that really watches out for it.

Any thoughts?

Poker Stars doesn't do anything about it. They have been caught red handed allowing it in the past and said there was nothing they could or would do.

Ya they had that group of players who would do that, one of the players was explosive or exclusion or something like that.

Seems Party Poker just couldn't let this one slide. h34r:
The guy bragged/admitted that he & "granny" were the same player. He just couldn't let "granny" get all the glory. Had to brag to his friends on pocket5s.

Party claims the iinvestigation started before the disscusions but I have my doubts. They uncovered numerous dual entries. They confiscated The 140K touney win and $40K more from the other acct. Opps!
