Pre register list for private tourney

I have held a couple of private tournaments, but many players seems to come from "outside" my site. I saw somewhere that the best thing is to create a pre reg list to the private tournament.

Has anybody experience with that?

It's a good idea but offers a lot of manual work. UB offer this afaik.

Yes, this typically works very well and can be easily done if you require your users provide their poker name information. I have set up countless freerolls and buy-ins at Sunpoker.com with "allowed user lists". This includes the player name and their account number. That way you are ensured that only the players you want to play, can play.

As long as you have a good AM to work with the pre-registered list is the way to go.... get's rid of the freeroll whores for the most part and lets you reward who you want to reward. It is more work, but you get a better product than password protected freerolls.
