301-Redirecting to an affiliate link

[ozim]

Just and academic question - I have a website that I do not work on anymore but it still receives some traffic from SEs. I think about making a 301 redirect to my affiliate link (eg. to an address like that www.pokeroomX.com/?ref=myaffiliatecode ) The two questions are:

1. Does it make any sense in the first place ?

2. Is it allowed / ethical / spammy or not etc. ?
