Default Party looking to re-enter the US market?

I have no idea what this might mean, at least for the near future. I just went to Party's log-in page and in the news and events section scrolling on the left found a statement that Party is looking into offerings for US players that would be within the law.

Anyone heard about this?

Yes the better do something quick pokerstars is owning it up. Just made an account there and up 1000 already. I really miss partypoker I just won 500 on that dans bonus. But had to cash that out to because i can not even play sucks. Hopefully partypoker will be back. I dont understand why pokerstars can stay on the market? Is it because they only have poker but party has it all? Let us know when partypoker is back.

https://secure.partyaccount.com/faq/us_legislation.htm

It's pretty vague:

In addition, we are working on a variety of offerings that will entertain and challenge you and that do not violate the recently enacted law. This will enable us to maintain our relationship with each of you for many years to come. Thanks to each of you for what you’ve brought to our community and we will be contacting you soon with greater detail on our future games and products.

and who knows when they might return. It' s just tough to imagine them abandoning the lucrative US market for any longer than necessary.

A little OT but isn't BackGammon considered a game of skill?

I think its because Party is a public company and Stars is not.

Everyone who is public or who has ties (Cryptologic) has dropped out of the US Market. I don't know what the difference is between the private/public aspect but thats what is happening.
