Default Does this setup the US casinos?

This bill really could be setting up the US for starting their own online casinos/poker rooms if you think about it. They'll forbid players from transferring offshore, and once Harrah's, Wynn, Trump etc... set up their online rooms we would be forced to play on them.

Honestly I hope this is the case. I would be much happier promoting something that is clearly legal, and within the US, then an offshore company. Plus there would be SO MUCH MORE trust with these companies, that I think player signups would definately increase.

ANy thoughts on this?

This has been my though for awhile now. I really hope this is the case. Although the main propudent of this was the senater from NV so that makes little since that it is forseen.

Imagine being an affiliate for Bellagio or Wynn. This would be great.

Do you really think that US casinos will have affiliate programs? The Wynn currently only gives 5% of hotel bookings...

The thing about this is if it became legal for a US casino to host an online gaming site than we would have hundreds of online casinos in months. Yea Harrahs and all of Wynn's properties would have deep, deep pockets for advertising but advertising still may be illegal. Plus with all the competition this would have, including new casinos being brought up just for online gaming, we really could see a few hundred options in no time. Affiliating could be a big part of this. Maybe Wynn's pays 5% MGR but the smaller casinos pay 40% because they need to compete. Offline advertising would be great for affiliates in Vegas. Advertising to tourists

5% on hotel stays is a lot different than affiliating for an online casino.

Overhead is much less on an online casino than it is to run a hotel/casino.

I would envision the casinos offering a decent CPA if it ever came to pass.

It's a lead pipe cinch they will pay for advertising, one way or another, on a broad scale. Casinos like money.

The US casinos getting into this would lead to a bottomless pit of money for people like us.
