Default newbie (affiliate solution)

first let me say this site has been very helpfull. i'm just now getting into the affiliate world and i'm still learning the ins and outs. one question / idea i have. right now i'm affiliated with 11 different sites. every day i have to go to each site, login, and check my stats. is there a site somewhere that i could log into once and get my daily reports for all of my associated sites?

i haven't found it yet, but it would be a great idea for someone to start. all you would have to do is work out an agreement with the poker sites to get daily reports for your members. rakeback sites do it, why can't we?

But it is fun logging into each account to see the revenues and statistics! Seeing the data all at once would take away some of the enjoyment...

If you promote 30+ affiliate programs and make money on each site every day, a system like this would be extremely helpful. Especially if it was like an excel like format that just showed you your profit and sign-ups every day.

For big webmasters, it is nearly impossible to keep track of your income on a daily basis.

Maybe that will be my next project. It could be done

natickpoker,

Right now, the only solution I have for you is to organize your user names, passwords, and affiliate log in links in a way in which it is productive and fast. I check certain sites on certain days, so that checking the statistics is easier.

This is a super idea and could (if the "cards" are played right) somehow be a money maker.

I've actually been thinking about this for a few weeks as I have a programming background and this could be done with exceptions.

The only problems I see monetizing this type of program are: Trust. You would have to be able to trust the software. I would be a little weary of having to add usernames and passwords to a software program for my affiliate accounts. This would need to be done some how.

Also, the different way poker sites offer the statistics makes this very difficult for someone to do for free. In other words it may be one thing to grab information from Absolute and Paradise, but then Full Tilt uses Excel and CSV formats. Having a prgram match these formats would be very time consuming and may not allow users to add new affiliates that were not included in the software release requiring the author to update the software on a regular basis.

I have played around with doing this for myself and it can be done for a few sites. Other sites however are a little tricky.

But like I was saying I find it hard to believe that affiliates will put information like usernames and passwords into a software program. You would need extensive testing and 3rd party auditing to insure the integrity.

Just a few thoughts on this...

I'm welcome to ideas as this has been floating around my brain for a few weeks now.

But while playing online poker at Full Tilt Poker I use a Full Tilt Bonus Code to get a sign up deposit bonus. Duh!

It's out there and I've seen it in the past. It's a subscription based service. Can't remember the name though.

I am looking into this topic and will report back my findings. Imagine being able to login to one account and get all your stats for each room. Almost like some sort of Integrated Affiliate Backend.

Dammmmnnnnn that would be slick. I agree though that whoever ran the backend would have to be a trusted entity.

my initial thoughts were 'no, i wouldn't put my username and passwords in', but the more i thought about it, i realized you wouldn't necessarily have to. depending on how the site works.

i don't have to put in all of my passwords for a rakeback sight. i just login and they have my stats for all of the poker sites.

here's how i think it would work best. an affiliate signs up and creates one user name and password for your site. either during registration or once registered, they check (box) the sites that they are affiliated with and provide their affiliate user name only.

the host then sends the user name to the poker site to have it included in the daily affiliate report. you would only have to have your registered users included in the reports.

if the daily affiliate reports were provided from the poker site in a cvs or txt format, they could then be easily converted and downloaded into one data base.

this method would probably take more time and maintenance to maintain, depending on the number of registered affiliates.

it would be great if it were for even 5 sites, just to start and then build up from there. once big enough, i'm sure people would pay a nominal monthly fee for the service.

i don't know. just my thoughts. i'd try to do it myself, but don't have the programming knowledge or the time.
