Default PartyGaming plans to acquire Sportsbook

Not that this should come as surprise to anyone that follows Party very close. I imagine if they do launch a sportsbook, it will be on the same type of revenue share as blackjack currently is.

I dont like the idea. They are just pushing themselves further into "gambling" territory. Now lawmakers will have another reason to ban online poker.

It is understood that the company has decided not to accept sports bets from the US in an effort to limit confrontations with the anti-online gambling lobby. That is the same stance taken by established sports betting companies such as Ladbrokes, although rival Sportingbet does do so.
