Rakeback discussion in Amsterdam

I tried to do a search for the word "legal" on both pages, but couldn't find it.

If rakeback is not illegal in the US please point me to an article or information otherwise.
If its legal outside the US, I'd like that info too.

So you want to know if the US government has a ban on a part of an industry where there is at best a gray area in regards to legality?

What your question directly relates to is can affiliates give comps. Of the Sites that have forums here, some have automated comps set up specifically to faciliate that for affiliates. Certainly they aren't aware of any law like that.

There is no worldwide law banning comps an affiliate can pay the players. I can say that with a relative degree of certainty.

Actually when you say "comps" it makes it seem more legit.

I have always thought of it as incentives to gamble which I think is like advertising to gamble which is definitely illegal.

I know thats not the main discussion on the rakeback issue, but I just wanted to get a little bit more info.
