I'm just starting out as an affiliate. Jeremy's creating a website for me as I speak. I am planning on doing a lot of offline promotions via flyers, business cards etc. Does anyone have any unique ideas on getting my business going?

I just was reading jeremys suggestion about placing business cards ontop of urinals in bars. I've actually created see through stickers that blend in so well with the background of toliets but are catchy enough to stare at the whole time while you piss.
Not sure what my returns are on there - but, I'm sure there are some drunk crazy people who have lost alot on PP for me

I'm telling you as dumb and retarded as it sounds, it works! Where else can you get a guys undivided attention for over a minute? I have done fliers too above urinals, but I like the business cards because it is a tangible item that guys can take with them.

I don't really use the Party Poker cards much because I like to brand them a little better with my promotion and bonus code.

Just as a heads up also, if your going to do this I have found that offering the free tournament through the bonus code works much better than a deposit bonus.

Not that I am a psychologist but if a guy reads this when he is a bit tipsy and has an interest in poker, there is a good chance that he will visit Party Poker and if he does sign up he will certainly use your bonus code.

Aside from the whole gross bathroom urinal thing, it's all about presentation on your fliers or cards. Put something on them that will immediately catch their attention besides just poker. If your at a University, then by all means put something about your school as well as poker.

"Party Poker.com - The Preffered Poker Room Of Over 1500 Illini"

Enter Bonus Code "ILLINI" and receive a free entry into THE Million Dollar satellite tournament!

Either way just get people emotionally involved somehow by appealing to another interest outside of poker. The create some urgency to act now!

There ya go, the Party Riches Free Tip of The Week!

Jeremy, I am on a college campus and looking to do something just like that. Forgive my stupidity, but are you saying to create your own fliers with this on them, or edit the one's party provides? If so, what is a good way to go about editing them. Thanks for the tip.

Jeremy

Any chance you might post one of the actual business cards that was successful for you in the restroom advertising? Party's are ok, but I don't like them being doublesided. I want all of my info on one side for 2 reasons. First of all I want the potential player to see everything right there in front of him. Secondly, the 2 siders are obviously more expensive to reproduce.

Just an FYI

It is VERY illegal to promote poker playing in the USA and most major sites avoid universitys altogether..

You are putting yourself out there

From one guest to another, please tell me one person who has been arrested for promoting online poker sites via affiliate programs in the U.S.

Jaywalking is illegal too. I don't see a big shortage of advertisers on ESPN and FOX during the WSOP or other televised poker tournies.

The morale of the story is that it's a gray area and your an idiot!
