Posting your website link in blogs

[tomysole]

Any benefit in posting your website links in random blogs or blogs that deal with poker? Is it legal to do that or even ethical? Just wondering because I run across tons of blog's while surfing and they always have the option of posting on them.

Try doing a search for "blog spam" in Google.

Randy has a good example of how to blog "effectively" on his site. Email him for the URL and Blogspot address.

If you have a legit comment, and you just give your URL (there's a box for it on most comment forms), that's fine with most people.

If you just blanket spam with something like "Poker is great I have a website www.spammerpoker.com", well, let's just say it won't be pretty. Some of the poker bloggers I know get werry agre-esif when people try and abuse their comments. I would assume other bloggers are the same.

Seriously, don't do it, far more trouble than it is worth, as is stealing RSS feeds.
