Ahh here's what happened. First I'd like to say I went over the line with my comments on 2+2. The Facts, but my approach on posting. Let's face it - beer and poker go well but beer, poker, server crashes and chat forums do not. LOL.

Overall Stars is a very good room and always has been. Paradise in it's day did worse like UPGRADING SOFTWARE IN THE MIDDLE OF TOURNAMENT!

If this happened during a Sunday Million event or other major event I could never accept this excuse

PokerStars Tournament #59096438, No Limit Hold'em
Buy-In: $30.00/$3.00
465 players
Total Prize Pool: $13950.00
Tournament started - 2007/08/28 - 23:00:00 (ET)

Dear *** **,

Tournament #59096438 has been cancelled due to technical reasons.

When a tournament is cancelled before players are in the money, we refund
each player their tournament fee, and then divide up the prize pool based
on the following formula:

- 50% of the award pool distributed evenly between remaining players
- 50% of the award pool distributed proportionally according to the chip
count

At the time of cancellation there were 323 player remaining, and your chip
count was 3,245. Total chips in play were 697,500.

Prize pool to be divided equally: $13,950.00/2 = $6,975.00
Prize pool to be divided based on chip count: $13,950.00/2 = $6,975.00

Your share in money equally divided: $6,975.00/323 = $21.59
Your share based on chip count: $6,975.00 x (3,245/697,500) = $32.45
Your entry fee refunded: $3.00
Total money refunded to your account: $57.04

We apologize for the inconvenience.

The PokerStars Team

Pokerstars have usually been very reliable. I would be happy to take a deal during a tourney. Half of the players are usually gone within 90 min, so its money in the bank. I know its not great but i think it works out well "deal or no deal"

I know its a bit offtrack but i was watching the stars millions tourney later stages the other week. Down to about 5 players, the chip leader was offered $120k, he rejected it because he wanted 125k. I thought what a tool. The way I see it, fortunes change pretty quickly at the later stages. He got a pretty decent deal. In the end he won, so made the right choice at the time. The way I see it is chips in the bank, a clash with AA against his KK could have whipped 60k off him for haggling over 5k. It worked ot well for him and he took a deal on the final 2 so who am i to argue.

all of that is dependent on his life situation. If he has millions in the bank and the other guy doesn't then he has a huge advantage. You could say well even 100k matters to someone without a lot of money and my argument would be the opposite. 100k will matter more to the guy that doesn't have it and he will play like it. The guy that came in second luckboxed his way to that point (that call with the deuce was silly). When he just started open shoving the eventual winner just had to be cracking up laughing.

Can you imagine feeling so overmatched that you would just start showing allin?
