Bonus code or link?

Do you use bonus codes, links or both on your sites? Why? Whats your preferences?

Both if possible. If you don't use bonus code the risk is that a player will search for one and get it from another affiliate and that affiliate might get tracked.

I agree. All rooms should have bonus codes, or they should have a script that remove the "bonus code" field when the player was already referred...

Heard that links are "stonger" than codes, so it still should be tracked to the first affiliate.

Is there really an "override" of the links vs. bonus code ? I hope so, have to ask my AM. Could be just as well the other way round, bonus code overriding the link. I have always instructed the players to use the link and the bonus code.

I matched the promo code with the name of one of my sites for FTP.

But FTP is another room that every guy and their brother knows about so I've droped them due to competitive market saturation. Sign up's have been weak

You sure that's a good idea? Market saturation in the U.S. maybe, but not worldwide where poker is booming. Even in the U.S. new players are turning of age, and converting from bar players to online players every day. Personally, I would worry about trying to funnel players too hard and losing signups overall. Plus, there's a legitimacy issue in not carrying the biggest rooms. That's just my opinion though, doesn't mean I'm right.

FT is not really advertized in the UK unlike partypoker but ive noticed more players from the UK talking about FT in the last year or so
