Default Rooms which allow account transfer

I have been hearing from a number of people about problems making an initial deposit, from players whose credit cards (including pre-paid) are being rejected by Rooms and also being rejected when they try to sign up with ePassport etc.

To me, this really is a shame when you have somebody who is in the mood to signup and is unable to start playing right away.

Is it a valid strategy to allow somebody to send you money via PayPal - or from another room - and then make a deposit on their behalf?

Which rooms will allow you to transfer money into the player's account and *count it as an initial deposit* and still give you credit as a RMP?

Which rooms definitely will *not* allow you to put money in the players' accounts to start them off with an initial deposit?

This borders on "incentive marketing" ...but isn't it different if it is not an advertised feature of your site, and just something you do for the ones having problems?

Party Poker do allow you to transfer funds to a new player and he will be counted as an RMP after xxx party points. I dont remember how many party points but its not 5 like it is when they deposit by themselves..

I cant think of any rooms that will allow a transfer to count as a bonus.

Sites that allow transfers off top of my head: Absolute, Full Tilt, Stars, Cake, UB.

Party Poker will, and it will qualify for the sign up bonus.

If you're signing them up under CPA, your player will need to earn 200 party points before they release the payment. If they're on MGR, the points are a non-issue.

Hi,

At PokerStars, an interaccount transfer will count as a referral so once you have transferred the funds and the player has earned 100FPP's then this will be counted as a referral.

However, in this case the player will not receive the first deposit bonus. They will only receive this if they deposit themselves and use the deposit code FIRST2007.

Carly: Great to see you participating and helping to clarify things.

This reveals some complicating factors:

I signed up to Stars to participate in a Private Buy-in, and because of depositing problems, my buy-in was transferred into my account for me by a kind and magnificent benefactor. (Thanks again, JE )

It was *not* transferred by the affiliate whose link I used to sign up.
It was only $5.

Does that now disqualify me from any First Deposit Bonus?

Once I get ePassport straightened out, and have made my *own* first deposit, using the code, would I get a bonus on the amount of my *own* first deposit?

Or will the bonus code be rejected?

How does this affect minimum deposit requirements for Affiliates' CPA?
Does the minimum deposit have to be made all in one shot?
Will you still pay my referring affiliate a CPA once my deposits have reached a total of $50 and I acquire the 100 points?

Thanks for any clarification you can provide.

An even better question...

When will the new Stars backend be ready? And will there be MGR?

Thanks!

Hi!

If you receive an interaccount transfer, then the FPPs earned will count towards the qualification for the affiliate payment (100 FPPs). But in this case the FD bonus wont count. From a players point of view, your first deposit will always be the first time you deposit yourself (not including interaccount transfers).

Your deposits dont have to reach $50 for your referring affiliate to be paid - its just reaching the points.

In your situation above, we could manually add the FD bonus but it would be much better for you to deposit $50 in order to receive the maximum FD bonus.

In order to get the maximum FD bonus, then the deposit will need to be made in one shot, but from an affiliates point of view, the 100 FPPs can come from any number of deposits (or interaccount transfers).

Minimum deposits have no effect on the CPA requirements - it doesnt matter what the deposit is, it is the 100 FPPs that matter.

And corpfan1 the new Stars program will be launched later this year.
I will keep you updated - as for MGR we are still discussing the details, but will be offering it upon an approval basis.

Thanks,
Carly
