how do you store data on ipods

I've had an ipod for awhile now and have only been dLin music. I was going to purchase a flash memory card but realized I had an ipod which could do the same thing. Does anyone here know how to copy data files onto ipods?

If you're using windows, just go to My Computer and your iPod should show up as a drive. You can just make a new folder and copy the data into it.

I havn't tried this myself, so do a small test of it first, and don't mess with the folders that are already there. Especially not the hidden one called iPod_Control.
