Something different from World Cup 2014

The festival of football has begun yesterday. Everyone talks about players, coaches, results and predictions. In fact, everyone has been talking about that for a few months before. It seems that when a topic is as drained as in this case, there is no way how you can use it to your own advantage. Well, looking at the topic differently may really help.

A Change of Perspective

There are different ways you can look at FIFA World Cup 2014 Brazil even if you are not in football yourself. You can look at other topics as well but there is value staying with the football festival as a lot of people are still searching for things related to the World Cup.

In the end, not all content you publish must be educational (lessons, strategies) or promotional. Plus, content designed to entertain is not only fun to read, it’s also more likely to be shared. Just think about Titan Poker’s old article”Why poker is better than sex”.

Here’s a list a few ideas how you can use World Cup to your advantage to create unique content.

• Good Cause

Showing that you are not only about money, is very important. And an event like World Cup in Brazil is perfect for that. Poverty is Brazil is a big issue as well as racism in football.
You can take personal stories or talk about particular issue in general.

And that’s easy to bring close to gambling. Maybe not about racism particularly but there are lots of causes that are supported by charity poker tournaments.

For example, every year at the WSOP there is a $300 +$30 Celebrity Charity poker tournament to support cerebral palsy. And let's not forget $1 million buy-in tournament The Big one For One Drop for One Drop Foundation.

So, in addition to talking about a certain cause, you can find a charity poker tournament and invite your website visitors to visit or you can even hold a charity tournament of your own. If you want to hold a tournament in one of online poker rooms you promote, contact us and we’ll help you arrange everything.

• Technology

Like probably any other championship, FIFA World Cup 2014 is implementing a lot of new things. The most significant may be the goal line technology that was tried in Barclay Premier League all throughout the last season.

Poker, online casinos also include a lot of technology. You can review different software, explore options how gambling will change in the future when Google Glass becomes a common accessory, etc.

• Focus on a country

This is not exactly an idea for a topic. Rather we just want to suggest occasionally focusing of a particular country. For example, if you focus on specific market or know that a significant portion of your website visitors come from a particular country, create some content dedicated to that country, tell them you support their team, talk about important events in that country, etc.

All in all, quality, interesting content is your route to getting website traffic, getting shares and likes. You can take any topic you like and turn it in a way, that is unique and suits your niche. Even a topic like the World Cup has different perspectives from poverty, to luck and skill, to technology, music to broader topics like unity, having fun, anything really.
