Save an hour a day? Save much more!

How much is your time worth?
Today we want to talk about something a little different that we rarely talk about. Productivity. Let us ask you, what point have you reached in your affiliate marketing? Whether you have just created a website, fighting for traffic or already earning daily revenue from your affiliate marketing business, there is still a long road ahead. Among other skills, knowing how to manage your time is essential in your success. So today let’s leave SEO, targeting markets and creating content in the sidelines and learn a few valuable tips on how to manage your time better.
Save valuable time and spend it better
It may sound just like another flashy name. And surely, no matter what you do, we all have 24 hours in a day. No more, no less. However, how you spend your time makes all the difference.
Today we will not tell you to spend less time on social networks or similar tips that you have already heard before dozens of times. This is not the problem. It doesn’t matter if it’s social network, TV show, chats at the water-cooler.
We suggest looking at the core of the problem – your mindset.
Just like poker players have to think about their mindset as an important factor on the road to success, you have to think about it the same way. Without a powerful reason, you will not be determined to continue. The best way to approach this is by answering simple questions like:
• What’s your goal in affiliate marketing?
It’s completely fine if you’re not serious about it and just want to make a couple extra bucks. But if you want a life with no bosses, work on your own terms than wasting time is not an option. You will have to invest time on your affiliate business to make it work. A lot of time.
• What it will cost you?
Depending on your goal, you can estimate what resources it will cost you to reach it. If your ultimate goal is to earn a living from affiliate marketing, it will probably cost you a lot of time and effort. You will have to work constantly on developing your business, investing on learning new things, searching for customers, etc. Are you really prepared for that? If you are, let’s move on.
Don’t trust your motivation
We recently discussed a common issue of why so many affiliates fail. They rely too much on motivation and mood. Even though they are your friends, you can’t really trust them with your lifetime goals. One moment you are all pumped up on reaching the top and the other you might feel down or even feel like quitting for some reason. And at that moment your mind will find a rational excuse.
Have you ever heard a saying ”Successful people are different from the ones that fail in a way that they do what needs to be done whether they fell like it or not”.
So don’t trust your motivation. Have your reasons you are doing this. Write it down in a journal, put up a sticky note on your monitor, etc. Place constant reminders around to stay focused even when you feel down.
Soon you will notice that you need these reminders less and less. It really works.
Rome wasn’t built in a day
Think about productivity as a muscle. The more you work on it, the more trained you become. It will take time but it will get easier. Social networks will become once-a-week-thing, cheesy TV shows will become too expensive to spend your time on. You’ll do so much more with the same time you have now.
One last thing – start right now! Don’t leave it for later because you will not do it. Let us know whether you liked the article and whether it has helped you. Contact us on Facebook or Twitter!
