Default Front Page Rankings - Which Position Is Better?

Just curious where you would rather be ranked on the front page, #7 or would you rather be #10.

More or less, does the last link on the 1st page get more clicks than like link #7 or 8? This seems to be the case for me with some of my keywords although I have no way to nail down exactly which factors lead to the link on the bottom of the front page getting more clicks than some of my links that show up #7 or #8.

Would be interesting to know.

I think it may actually be the 10th, but not really sure.

I think IMO 1st is also overrated. I know myself when I do a search term I gernerally click the links that are slightly further down the page. This could be due to what you first see when teh page loads and it sure isnt the person in #1 position.

Same here, I'm usually looking to click on #3 or #4 before I'm looking to click on #1. But thats just me and I dont think it refelects the majority of the web users though.

Hey Darko - during the hack you had posted the results from a study answering this question... but I never had the opportunity to actually see it because of the damn re-direct to the turkish site. Do you mind re-posting that when you have a minute?

Thx
