Ok, here's a very short version of how this works:

Poker sites will pay you a CPA ( a set ammount for each real money player you send, usually between $50-$150) or they will give you revenue share (a percentage of the rake, usually around 20-40%)...or a combination of both.

You signup at poker sites as an affiliate and you get banners and links that you put on your website,blog, myspace profile ...ect.

You can find all the info you need either here or at affiliate programs FAQ sections. Try searching the forums if you have any specific questions.
