Hello All,

First I would like to say this website is a great source of information. I have searched the forums and found many answers to questions I have had. I have a couple of general questions in regards to poker affiliates. I appreciate your answers.

1. If you are interested in starting a Poker Affiliate website like myself...what would be the process in regards to an affiliate? Would it be to go to each individual Poker Network or Online Poker Website and sign up directly for and affiliate to them?

2. Would joining teams with someone that is already a big affiliate as a sub-affiliate be more advantageous?

3. If you do join up with someone as a sub-affiliate, I realize this would save some groundwork where as you would not have to sign up with each individual site. What would stop them from taking your players in the future that you worked so hard for to sign up?

Thanks is advance.

Hi Matt

Welcome to the forum... In answer to your questions:

1. The only real way to become an Affiliate is to sign yourself up with each and every site. You get paid by them, and work with them directly.

2. To become a sub-affiliate can be very advantageous, provided you pick the right partner and utilize their knowledge and resources properly. The more you can learn the better.

3. The Affiliate you signed up under will never be able to take your Players. As a benefit they receive either a % of what you earn, or a % of the Rake (depending on the program) - but they do not even get the details of the Players (unless you give it to them).

If you decide to sign up under smeone as a sub-affiliate, you still complete the registration process yourself, they just send you the appropriate link for you to sign up with each program (seperate to your links to Players). You can also choose different Affliates for different sites that you intend to work with.

There are some great Affiliates here that woudl be more than willing to assist you throughout the process. If there is anything that I can do, drop me a line...

Thanks, Stephen
