My friends and I have recently turned aintluck.com into a forum with social networking abilities. Any thoughts on this.

Specifically, do you like the latest news feed in the profiles idea?

The site looks great and newsfeed is fine by my standards. Downside is too many folks are trying this social networking craze at once. Even in poker. Try to run with it and see how it goes.

Yeah i figured alot are trying it, but i think we have some good ideas and want to keep it simple. I think it will add alot of stickyness to the site.

Well, so far, its not doin so well with registrations. I have about 5 in 2 days. Of course, I don't have a ridiculous amount of traffic coming to aintluck.com yet, but I dunno. Its pretty tough to start forums, even when they have a really good setup I guess.

Ive noticed your on the pokerlistings directory and was wondering when you submitted your info to them...

Does it take a while or did your info go straight up. It says usually 48 hours but maybe longer now due to the WSOP but i was wondering how long it took for you to get listed?!

Edit: Ive been added now! and im in negotiations with them about article writing, im also trying to boost my link into the top 20 of the directory, should be fun

It didnt take long for me, but I was negotiating with Poker listings about featuring there news feed in my site. I think as long as you link to them, they'll get you up pretty quick.

yeah, he responded pretty quick, the director however contacted me and asked me how they could work with my site and after i asked for some more information he never replyed. Dirt Bag

Be carefull with them writing articles. I tried this before. The article had to low quality and also you might end up with the worst since you drive traffic to them and might harm your own SEO-status. If the articles are about you niche you will give them quality links and all you get are a little more text on your page.

I do not say do not do it. But think before you help them up in the search engines. If you are going to do it be picky about the articles and use them as suplemenatary to your normal site.

so your saying the poker strategy articles are low quality. Have you seen most sites? I think its a pretty good organized section and is going to grow. Constructive criticism noted. Thanks.
