Can anyone explain this???
Re: VIP SPORTS
Canadian Customers We have enjoyed the opportunity to serve you over the years. Regrettably, we will no longer be able to accept deposits from Canadian players effective immediately. You will maintain access to your account until April 1, 2007. If you currently have a balance you may continue to use any funds in your account until that date, at which point any remaining funds will be refunded to you and your account will be closed. Since when did Canada get affected??? |
"As you are probably aware, recent changes in the e-commerce landscape have caused many online companies, like our merchants, to adapt their offerings in this fast paced industry."

Im still not sure. Does it mean they are using the same payment processors for Canada & USA and they have issues which is stopping them accept Canadian business? |

Bodog's customer service center is in a lot of trouble, because they are in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada....and they provide all sorts of aiding and abetting every hour on the hour. Of coure, it seems to me I recall their ownership talking about how it was time to pull all operations out of Canada. Pity, eh? |

I doubt anyone in Canada would go after them considering they don't accept accept Canandian players. I wasn't aware they had reps in Canada but makes sense though it is not the only place. A friend of mine is working for them and is Antigua as a support manager. |
Yeah, we all know it is illegal to sports bet in Canada etc...but they run ads on our local radio to BET at Bowmans etc....all weekend!
No one cares. I am just wondering why the pull out of VIP all of a sudden??? Everything has been smooth so far and there haven't been any hints of this in the past. There are going to be a lot of upset people. Also, they are still going to serve EXISTING US CUSTOMERS..but not Canadians...they will be out all together on April 1. I think you may be on to something with the BODOG idea??? |
It looks like they're blaming increased chargebacks from US and Canadian players.

Let's just hope we follow the Brits. http://www.canada.com/topics/news/na...e8830c&k=91486 Something for Canadian affiliates to consider: http://www.thestar.com/News/article/175853 Behind the scenes politics you don't read about in the papers. http://www.canadianbusiness.com/mark...13_74528_74528 |
