domains containing site names?

I know the standard affiliate agreement prohibits using domain names that contain the name of the site you're promoting, "without prior permission". My question is.. will most sites give you this permission, or not?

If not, what about promoting Site-B, from your domain whiich contains the name of Site-A?

I actually have no problem in people promoting Paradise with similar sounding URLs. There is no way that we are going to buy all possible combinations of the word, so why not have Affiliates do so? So long as noone tries to make out that they are the real-thing, I see no problem with this...
