Action poker pulls out of the US

[dbirider]

This is getting out of hand. You would think they would use this as a chance to gobble up all the former party poker players, but they're just giving up. They must be pressured pretty badly. I wouldn't be surprised if full tilt poker or pokerstars change their dicision to stay with US players at this point.

Dear Valued Affiliate,

As a current member of the ActionPoker network (www.actionpoker.com ) , Nine.com Poker regrets to inform you, effective immediately, that all U.S. poker players will no longer be able to access real-money poker play in their poker room. Players will be able to login to the poker room, play for free money and make withdrawals of any balance they may have on account. They will not, however, be able to make deposits or play for real-money.

The prohibiting of U.S. players from real-money poker play at Nine.com is a result of ActionPoker’s response to the recent Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Bill in the U.S.

Nine.com Poker sends its sincere apologies to all affiliates and players affected by this recent development and confirm that they are busy working to find a long-term solution that will allow players from around the globe access to their poker room. Nine.com continues to provide players with all of their other services, including quick payouts, sports, casino and horse wagering, as well as 24/7 access for customers to their funds.

Thank you for your patience and continued loyalty as we carry forward working through the recent obstacles. We will continue to keep you informed with regards to the availability of Nine.com’s poker product to US players. We are working 24 hours around the clock to find a product replacement and this is very upsetting news to all. Please remember once again this does not affect the sportsbook or casino in any way shape or form

As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns and I will do my best to address them.

Regards,

Simon Eaton
