Whats the next step for this bill

Ok, so the bill passed the senate and the president can sign it into law as soon as 2 weeks.

What can happen now, in the mean time? Does a senator have to challenge the bill, or can that come from somewhere else?

Since the act was slipped into the port bill, can the president make changes? Or is it black and white: approve and sign, reject and rewrite the bill?
