Poker playing alien's news story - thoughts

[scrawnybob]

hi all

I've just put up on my site a local news story I "found" about poker playing alien's landing in Wiltshire, England

Feel free to link to it if you like it ;-)

Photographic Proof Aliens Play Poker

Is this thinking outside the box or just a plain rubbish idea ?

hi

thanks glad you think its a reasonble idea - on the marketing side I'm not sure what to do with it now - leave it to circulate the net (probably slowly) or push it as much as possible ?

next question from newbie guerilla marketeer is how ?

Any thoughts on putting it out as press release ? given that anyone with half a brain who reads the first para is going to realize its a wind up is putting it out as a kosher-ish release a good idea or a bad idea ?

just signed up to myspace but to be honest I cannot make head nor tail of the point of it - 35 million people must do though - to me it just seems like a weirdos don't even know you version of friends reunited - but then maybe I've got to old to see where the kids think its at

Then again if it is just kids and supermodels (the models seem unlikely) they're not exactly minted for playing poker

any thoughts tips on guerilla marketing / spoof stories

cheers scrawnybob
