I might be wrong about me and would of course love to be corrected.
I checked the HTML source code of the partypoker landing and download pages because I was curious as to how they pass on the affiliate code between them in IE and FF.
In FF with a _directlink_ to:
http://www.partypoker.com/download/index.htm?wm=XXXXXX
...the sourcecode shows: [meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0;URL=/Downloads/XXXXXX/PartyPokerSetup.exe"] which prompts an auto-download with the affiliate code correctly.
In FF with a link to a landing page such as:
http://www.partypoker.com/index025.htm?wm=XXXXXX
...followed by a click to go to the download page, the affiliate code does not appear to be passed on because the HTML source which prompts the auto-download is then instead incorrectly:
[meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="0;URL=/Downloads/1000000/PartyPokerSetup.exe"]
If I am right, then this leads to an about 12% decrease in revenue for affiliates, if that is still the FF market share vs. IE.
