Default Gonzales Resigns

Lol

He was giving in to the demands of Kyl. Perhaps the next guy will be a bit more rational...

Doesn't look good if Chertoff becomes the AG.

1) That was from 2002

2) "There is no good legal analysis to support the decision" as it stated in the article (as a reaction to the moves made by Chertoff in 2002)

This REGIME, I mean Administration, has made many mistakes. I think the UIEGA was just a short term solution for them and they knew it. I mean Frist had backers he had to answer to. That whole thing was done as a favor to the Christian movement/lobby.

They knew that it was not what everyone wanted, that is why they had to sneak it in the bill last Oct, but they had no idea they uproar would be what it is. I think they are out of mistakes. They have put themselves in the corner. They have no choice but to do what the public wants. The new Administration is going to take advantage of all of the open holes Bush left and they will use to it make themselves look better. Look at all of the Politicians that are jumping on the online gambling wagon. Why wouldnt they? They are taking advantage of those free votes. Nobody is against online gambling. Everyone is for it. So will this new AG do what is best for the public and will he do what people want? Will he continue to be part of the problem or the solution? I think the sour days of online gambling - as a result to the crooks in Washington - are over. The last guy was caving in to Jon Kyl. This guy is not going to jump in the office and go against the general public.

The article is old but I'm sure his views haven't changed. Wouldn't you rather have someone who was pro online gambling or at least neutral?

This government likes to...

TAKE A LOT AWAY...then...GIVE A LITTLE BACK.

This is a sneaky way to make people happy. Take away their freedoms, then give it back half as much, then people think things are better than before.

It is just like gas prices. I remember when it was 99cents a gallon.

So, they raise it to over $3....then lower it to $2 and change and we are happy, that gas prices are cheap...NOT!
