Pacific Poker and Ad agency

I have been contacted by an ad agency who is looking for advertisment room for Pacific Poker. For starters they wanted an ad for $100 for the year paid monthly( after I finished laughing) I gace him a quote...since our first conversation he has beaten around the bush about what it is that he wants on my site. Finally it turned into content on the main page just a small paragraph. I told him I wasn't selling anything like this without seeing it first. ( to many inconsistancies )It consist of 75 words with 3 links.

Now he says that all 888 can afford for an ad like this is $180 for a year. Does this seem cheap to anyone else. An affiliate is one thing but a room???? Or is it correctly priced?

I dont bother with 888 cause I find that they have to many issues with lack of communication/organization ( or at least my old AM did)

Any opinons?

Are you sure that it was 888 who contacted you?

They would know better about the prices of the business...

That seems incredibly low to me for a direct ad from a poker room. You only need to get 2 sign-ups in a year if you placed the text yourself with a PAW tracker to be earning more.

So could this ad agency possible have a set balance as per spending and is trying to barter to keep thier own commission...

Its called arbitrage - they buy from you for $180 - they sell to 888 for a lot more.

Easy money - and I've seen some of the biggest SEO and aff. bloggers on the net selling space that has ended up going the same way.

Seems extremely cheap - poker rooms should be paying at least $100 per month paid in advance PLUS affiliate links for this sort of thing.

I would do a google search about the ad agency that contacted you as there is at least 1 really dodgy agency that is well known for getting ads up, stalling payment and then not paying.

promotion-onweb.com thats the website that is attached to the email. I thought it was low seeing as I have been able to sell review pages for casinos/poker rooms at $200 per month with advance payments.
