1st FTP Signup! Woohoo

I am just happy to see that this month aintluck.com got its first FTP sign up. As of now we average from 100 - 150 people a day coming to the site, most of them are already players and just want the poker table skins we have on the site. We havn't done much seo at all yet...obviously.

So far I'm surprised that Carbon poker has gotten the most sign ups. Allthough i do like carbon poker and think its a cake place to build your bankroll.

Anyways, starting a website and making money is alot tougher than I thought, even if your website has alot of good stuff on it.

Does anyone just kind of feel like Poker in general is really down right now? I'm looking foward to Poker booming again once all this UEIGA crap is cleared up.

Congrats on your 1st FTP, may there be many more.

You've prob got so many more Carbon sign ups because it's a new name and as you're appealing to the seasoned player, they've probably already signed up everywhere else. Maybe you should add a few more 'newer' poker rooms with juicy bonuses that would appeal to your bunch of players - bet their MGR will be bigger than average.

As for poker being 'down', I'm sure it's a bit flat in the US at the moment, but in the rest of the world it's still booming. If I was promoting skins I'd try my hardest to get into some of the euro poker magazines.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think if you organized the site a little better and started to push the rooms a little more, you would see more sign-ups with that kind of traffic. Maybe even create something where it says anyone who uses one of our layouts will be eligible for an amazing $500 Bonus at . Also the links at the top kind of fade into the site. Since these are your biggest "sellers" I would make them much more visible (possibly more attractive with nice colourful buttons). Other than that, your site is on its way to becoming very successful as you have lots of great content. Good luck!

Also... just to add... just because they came to your site to find poker layouts, doesn't mean that they can't be convinced to sign-up at a new "hot" poker room with a great bonus.

the first one is always the best! congrats on your first sign up. I'll second what Graham has mentioned here. If you focused on one or two 'cool' and unique promotions that the average player hasn't heard of before and make sure that everyone who comes to your site sees the promotion then I think you will start to see many more sign ups if you are averaging 100+ uniques per day.

I would also recommend finding a way to harvest email addresses.

I suggest you also start a newsletter. Members can get a message when you have skins, or wallpapers, and you can inform them about specific bonuses (or freerolls etc) driving traffic to the poker rooms.
