I think the most important part is Planning!

Find a niche and develop a plan for marketing it and how you plan on converting your traffic into real money players. Plan what keywords you plan to target and how you will get your traffic.

All of this will help you design your site and pick the right content for it.

Always be thinking about what's next. if you can get a page out and some links and good keyword anchors before anyone else, you will make money.

Be on top of the industry don't just copy it.

I've been in this game since March of 2003. Our sites have sent thousands upon thousands of RMP's out to poker rooms.

My biggest tip?

Write, write, and then write some more.

Unique content is gold, and is the lifeblood of our three major poker sites.

I try to write a few articles per day. You never know when an article is going to be linked to from a major site, or Dugg, or Stumbleupon'd.

It's like throwing wet spaghetti at the wall. Some won't stick, some will.

Back in the day, I wrote an article about Chris Moneymaker, just after he won the World Series of Poker. We were #1 in Google for "Chris Moneymaker" when the poker boom happened. Man those were good days. No one had a poker account back then and we cleaned up.

Our little network that no one has probably heard did 32k uniques in June, and is on track to do 40k uniques in July. Considering pocketfives.com does 110k uniques a month and no one has heard of us, it's not bad. We don't spend a dime on advertising. It's all about the content. We've gotten links from pretty much every major poker site out there without having to ask for them. One way links from authority sites in the industry are gold.

You need patience, and you need to write on a daily basis. The traffic will come slowly, but it will be ever increasing and after a year of writing on a daily basis, you will have an unstoppable flow of free traffic.

If I could sum up the best way to become wealthy via the Internet it would be: "Unique content."
