I have nothing against cops, but there are some that can't handle the "power." Now, I'm not putting down cops, they do some great things, but some take thing way to far.

I was watching one of those police chase videos a little while back. Anyways, there was a chase and finally the car got stuck. Three police cars quickly surrounded the car, who had one way out (to back up), but was stuck. The car tried anyways and just spun up the hill in reverse, going a foot tops. Like any car, it will roll back down the foot it went in reverse. Keep in mind that the car was block by the front and both sides, so it wasn't going anywhere. As the car rolled back (the whole foot) about 3-5 officers opened fire on the guy, who did nothing but ran from the police in the car. I say nothing....in that a car rolling a foot will not harm an officer.

I dunno how easy this is to picture...but these officers definitely took it too far in my opinion. BTW...they 3-5 that opened fire had some horrible aim from a few feet away...missing their target by several feet...

Again, I have nothing against law enforcement officers....but there are a few that are out of control

You know I do understand some cops take things too far but first of all I have to error on the side of the cops in most cases.

"who did nothing but ran from the police in the car"
Don't run from the cops and you won't have to worry about them shoting at you.

The people that do do stupid things deserve stupid things to happen to them. Running from the cops puts not only the cops life in jeapordy but me and my family as well when runs a red light while we are on our way home from CHuck E Cheese or something.

For this kid he is a punk. That's a simple question about where you are headed. i've been asked this 100 times by cops and you just say: Home, a friends house or whatever. You never need to be specific. Not answering the officer a simple question and giving him an attitude is just enough to stop him and interview him.

Regarding searching his car that was over board and should not have been done unless there is more to the story or the laws in that State allow this. But come on. Be a polite, normal citezen and this stuff will not happen to you. I've been let out of tickets just for being upfront and honest and friendly. These guys deal with the scum of the earth everyday and when someone starts saying "I don not wan't to discuss my personal life with you" after one question it becomes suspicious.

This is not harrasement. This is some punk kid being a dick to the cops. Learn some respect and this will never happen to him again.

Who the hell drives around with a vide camera rolling at all time anyway? This guy was looking for trouble.

The point to this is what give anyone , no matter if there cops or not to ask you where you are going , it is no ones business . especially since he was not doing anything wrong.

In todays news, I am waiting to hear if the police have overreacted again. By the reports on the news it sounds as if the car was trying to get away.

Checkoints are legal and at those checkpoints they have to determine if someone in intoxicated. By asking one question about where you are headed and giving attitude and saying it's none of your business is just being a punk.

The proof is in the fact that if the kid said "Hello sir. Just headed home this evening." Then the officer would have just said "Have a good night son." You know this would be the case. The only reason this esculated is because he was refusing to answer a simple question that the cop has every right to ask at the checkpoint.

That's it all over. He does not ahve to even be telling the truth. The problem is that this could be in a high drug zone and the cop is allowed to interview him because he drove through a legal checkpoint.

This kid acts normal and drives right through. i've been through many checkpoints, even intoxicated, and have never been pulled to the side. I'm not a punk kid with an attitude that somehow thinks he should disrespect anofficer doing their job.

You are correct , But im just trying to say , if the cop asked him where you going and the kid made a smart ass answer the cop should have just given him a breathalizer and sent him on his way. They way the cop handled it he was trying to be a bigger smart ass .

Yea true. If I was a cop and had to stand out in the cold and do a checkpoint I would probably harras a few people that were jerks to me. Not that's it's fair but I think in most cases we should at least respect an officer just until he is gone and then say what ever you want. Just makes your life eaier.

You're right though the cop was a little harsh but he never beat the guy or made him think he was going to jail or something. He just wanted to talk to him.

Sucks if his car damaged but then again I still think it's his fault for acting like a punk in the first place.

Oh well. Good story though.
