I was looking around for a value bet. below is the pricing for the womens 4x400m relay. 9/1 on the Brits seems a good outsider. The team seem to be hitting a bit of form. The Americans are red hot favorites but I think the British might spring a surprize. I am EV+ on my athletics bets over the years and think its worth a tenner although i wouldnt bet on it with any great confidence

Haha, if only. My bet is on the relay team but the prices should be shortening now. Its still going to be a tough bet but one of the athletes is from my home town, she just missed the final with a seasons best so it should be real close

Now this is an interesting betting market. Nigeria has now dropped to 6/1 from 200/1. Britain remain at 9/1, now 4th in the betting.

With a 400m relay, you often get teams who enter 200m / 400m hurdles & 800m runners. The bookies are rarely far off so I am going to take a closer look

Latest prices. The heats are starting tomorrow. Britain now down to 3/1. The value has probably gone now. British runner finished 8th in the 400m hurdles final today
