Ahhh...the days of starting out...so many ideas...very exciting.
Some suggestions are...
Get something up on your home page (finish it if you can). Make sure you use as few unnecessary words (like the, at, it, but, etc...) and as many important poker words as you can (bonus, poker, tourney, freeroll, free...etc...).
Then get some really good links from people here at PAW or people you know who have sites (whether it be at personal blogs or wherever)...this will get you indexed.
Then, work on your subsequent pages (internal pages). Link to all of them both at top and bottom of your home page. Make sure they are focussed. Better to have 1 page on just Full Tilt, rather than a page with reviews about all US poker rooms (then each will rank higher individually in the search engines.
Get links to your internal pages.
Then start advertising...PRWeb, other news release sites.
Get lots of links and add lots of content.
Once it looks good, hit your AMs up for a tourney or 2.
Talk to Jeremy for some great "think out of the box" idea.
Keep on it. Add a couple of links and a page or two a day.
Get some offline promoting going. Business cards are probably the best idea. Leave them on urinals at local bars and pubs.
Then READ PAW....over and over again....go through using searches and reading interesting posts.
That's just the start!
