See the last three years summeries for the last 5 days of the month below - As you will see each one is completely boring, and neither very cold, very hot, very windy or anything, just dull which is probably what you can expect. With the UK then it could be beautiful blue skies and winter sun, bloody cold with snow but more likely ice or simply shed loads of rain. Joy!

If it isn't raining I think London is really nice in the winter just make sure you bring warm clothes but for some of you Canadians, Scandinavians and northerners this will be a refreshing warmth as I hear it gets silly cold there.

Jan 07
A settled end to the month. Wintry outbreaks cleared south on the 26th with high pressure bringing plenty of dry, but cloudy conditions and just occasional patches of light rain around. Temperatures rising back to generally above normal.

Jan 06
Very mild, except for one colder interlude around 22nd to 26th. Rainfall above average for the month, despite a fairly dry last week to the month. Widespread strong winds on 18th.

Jan 05
High pressure dominated this period with very little rainfall being recorded, although during the afternoon of the 27th, an area of sleet and snow pushed into East Anglia and Kent and spread westwards into the West Country overnight. Slight accumulations were reported in places.
