@SunPoker.com, I know this is a little off-topic, but could you explain to me: Why does the $500 "freeload" have higher requirements per $ than the $1000 reload? Why make existing players unnecessarily deposit extra cash, costing you money?
I've never understood why sites put the deposit requirements so high, the Empire reload is a prime example. 25% up to $100 for 1000 raked hands, which can be cleared at 0.05/0.10 limit. So you deposit $400 and rake about $5 for a $100 bonus. The $400 deposit costs Empire about $7.50 right? So not only is empire losing $95 on the bonus, they lose $7.50 on the deposit too. Or do the effects of having a larger bankroll on a site actually cause players to play higher or longer? Has there been research?
