A company called Advanced Internet Marketing has released new software that promises to protect online poker players from collussion and cheating. The name of this new software is PokerBodyGuard.

This software will work in many of the internets largest online poker rooms. It will allow you to do a quick scan of the tables you are playing at to see if there are any abnormal player relationships, for example the two players have played together quite often over the last month. Likewise it will tell you their tournament records so you know if you're up against a whale or a fish.

In a market as cash heavy as online poker we would be idiots to think that sophisticated poker teams are not out there making a killing in the poker rooms. Although like anything, only 10% of these "sophisticated scammers" are probably making good money. Nonetheless PokerBodyGuard will help you to see a threat before you sit down at the table.

The software is freeware and also will protect you from getting Trojans or Viruses downloaded to your computer that will allow others to see your hole cards. Come to think of it, that is probably the scam the real money makers are using versus colluding amongst 3 players in a game.

Either way it looks to be promising software and my guess is that by launching a freeware version they are looking to be bought for millions of dollars in the future. Or even better get hired by one of The Big 3 to head up their security departments.
