Well were going to be making less at Ap
It hurt enough last month when we went from dealt to contributed , not this is going to lower the revenue even more
!!ATTENTION AFFILIATES? REGARDING U.S. TRAFFIC ONLY!! Effective: Thursday, February 22nd Absolute Poker is still holding a strong position in the U.S. market providing poker players from around the world with the very best online poker experience. We are 100% committed to staying in the U.S. and provide your players with the easiest, fastest, secure deposit and cashout options. However, in light of Neteller and other popular ewallets leaving the U.S. ,our processing fees have increased upwards of 5 times. These costs are higher due to the new and only deposit options available to U.S. customers, some of these deposit options also require Absolute Poker to cash guarantee all funds - please note we keep a cash reserve to cover all of our player balances. Due to this increase in costs, Absolute Poker has ammended its terms and conditions so we can stay in business to enable you and Absolute Poker to keep making money and not be forced to leave the US market. Calculation of Net Revenue has been ammended to reflect the following: - All Affiliates are paid on net revenue. Net revenue is calulated by taking the gross revenue an affiliate's player generates and subtracting any processing fees which can include: . Merchant processing fees . Charge backs . Processor default . Tourney deductions . Any other agreed upon deductions - The amount of these deductions will be taken off of Gross Revenue. At that point the remaining number is considered the Net Revenue. You the affiliate will be paid based on this net revenue number. Please see the example below: . Gross Revenue generated by the affiliates U.S. players. . Minus Processing Fees. . Minus tourney deductions and any other agreed upon deductions . = Net Revenue. . The affiliate is then paid their RevShare on this net revenue. - Last, we will combine your U.S. commission with your Non-U.S. commission for your total payment. Absolute Poker has the most competitive merchant processing in the industry - i.e your customers will be able to deposit and cashout better with Absolute Poker than any of our competitors - this means higher customer lifetime values and bigger checks for you that will continue! By staying in the U.S., Absolute Poker is making the commitment to allow you to continue to make money! YOUR NON-U.S. TRAFFIC WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THESE CHANGES. THIS IS ONLY FOR U.S. TRAFFIC. |
what a load of bollox !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we will lose prob 1/3 of our commissions |
Im Down 40 % From last month since they changed to contributed , and its not due to less players , deposits and # of hands are stil the same
|
It sucks, but I'd much rather them do this, than pull out of the US Market :) Gotta keep positive.
|
So if the processing fees have increased 5 fold this could mean a massive difference

Yep! More the reason to focus on international traffic IMO. |

and focus on the usa accepting sites that arn't lowering affiliates commissions with processing costs |

Yep. 80/20 as they say. Affiliate expenses were always a touchy(unmonitored) thing. Now a site feels the nip. Affiliates becomes their insurance. If you bring a player to a site, they make a profit (assuming mgr). Tough times for all but loyalty is a 2 way thing & many affiliates have already proven their loyalty by sending profits to sites only to be cut & cut again by new terms. |
yeah, well i think we will lose around 25-40% of our commissions when this comes into effect.
If it effects mine by more then 20% i will be dropping them and give PokerStars there spot and push. Just waiting to see if the CPA via PAW for pokerstars will be better for me or there standard progressive one |
just a quick bit of maths
by going by my last 3 months stats..... from every $100 in deposits, it generates $35 of rake/torney fees (i have taken out BJ deposits/revenue) so if AP's processing fees are now 8% and say a total of 9% with the other new deductions of tourny fees and chagebacks etc This would mean $35 - $9 (9% of $100) = $24.....which = 25.7% reduction in all future comissions . . . . Does anyone think there processing fees are above 8% ? |
