First Poker Affiliate Site Shut Down In Washington State
Shortly after making online gambling a class c felony, the state of Washington has started shutting down poker affiliate websites. So for those that said it couldn't be regulated or that poker affiliates would be immune, think again.
The state of Washinton has began enforcing legislation that makes promoting online gambling illegal.
Please read Danny's article in The Seattle Times as follow:
Seattle Poker Affiliate Closes Up Shop............For Now
After doing a little research and speaking with the writer at the times, it should be known that the state did not actually shut the site down. Instead a public official made a statement and directly called out Todd Boutte's site saying he was operating illegally. I guess this was enough to get Todd to close up shop for the time being.
If you read further in the article however it also states that Washigton is hiring an investigator to enforce the new law. Hmmmmm............ I guess only time will tell what is going to happen in Washington.
